With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jo Ellen Engnell in Maysville, Missouri, who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Jo Ellen had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Jo Ellen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Sparks and Mamie Lucille Sparks (Watkins); her husband Bob; and her brother George A. Sparks. She is survived by: her sons, Brent Robert Engnell and Brad Jeffery Engnell. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville (603 S Sloan St, Maysville, MO 64469). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of Jo Ellen's love for books, memorial contributions may be made to the Maysville Library.
