With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Stephen Fischer of Memphis, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on April 20, 2026 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Fischer and Katherine Fischer (Grissom); and his aunts, Tottie and Doris. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Fischer (Klopfer); his daughters, Barbara Fischer, Suzanne Jones, Amy Rojas (Cesar), Joy McRoy (Sam) and Stephanie Conner (Dave); his stepchildren, Jody (Annelise), Eric and Andrea Harvey; and his uncle Stan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the family for their discretion and they may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison St., Memphis, Mo 63555.
