He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Ray and Bertha Mae Wheeler (Aldridge); his siblings, Emma Wheeler, Roberta Jones (Novel) and Joe Wheeler; and his brother-in-law Ward Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Garrett of Memphis, Missouri; his children, Merl Wheeler "DJ" of Memphis, Jessie Wheeler of Edina, Melena Clay of Kahoka, Carol Garrett of Albuquerque, Laura Sands (Rusty) of Unionville, Christina Miller (Robert) of Memphis and Patricia Jacobs (Matt) of Maxwell, Iowa; his siblings, Leon Wheeler (Linda) of Memphis, John Wheeler (Betty) of Memphis, Kay Jones of Queen City and Terry Wheeler (Sheila) of Downing, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Betty Wheeler of Kahoka, Missouri. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Norman Funeral Home (402 W Washington St, Lancaster, MO 63548). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
