With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sam Morris in Mercer, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 10, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sam may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Emerson and Thelma Irene Morris (DeWitt); his wife Arlyce M. Reece; and his nephew Andrew Morris. He is survived by: his children, Amy Joell Morris (Wade) of Chariton and Sam G. Morris Jr. of Sterling; his brother Lewis Eddy Morris (Shirley) of Cedar Rapids; his niece Lynann Pancula (Larry) of Eastlake; and his sister-in-law Sandy Davis (Chuck) of Sterling, Illinois..
