He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Dains and Viola Marcella Dains (Dempke); and his sister Anita Woosley. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Michael Dains, Jerome, Rita Lewis (Richard), Dixon and Theresa McCall (Bryon) of Meta; his brothers, Albert Dains and Jim Dains; his grandchildren, Richard Lewis (Lisa), Michelle Illichman, Joshua Dains and Cheyenne Haskett (Caleb); and his great grandchildren, Blake, Hailey, Brooklyn, Sophia, Joseph and Odin. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions are suggested by the family to the Ladies Quilting Group of the Church with envelopes at the church the day of his service or c/o Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home P.O. Box 250 Vienna, MO 65582.
