As we bid adieu to Ed's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ed has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Edward Volkmer II and Ann Dunnavant Volkmer. He is survived by: his sister Jane Ann Volkmer Floyd of Holts Summit, Missouri; his children, Tracy Ellen Volkmer and Joseph Michael Volkmer of Mexico, Missouri; his grandsons, Dustin LaRue of Mexico, Missouri and Tyler Korman of Mexico, Missouri; and also Joan. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, two nieces.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home (425 S Jefferson St, Mexico, MO 65265). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (1900 W Liberty St, Mexico, MO 65265).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Simmons Stables Preservation or the Audrain Humane Society.
