She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold E. Northcutt and Virginia Northcutt (Atkinson); and her brother Randall Northcutt. She is survived by: her husband Berry Azdell; her daughters, Sheila Thomas (Mark) of Lady Lake, FL and Janet McBride (Jack) of Mexico, MO.; her grandsons, Josiah McBride (Taylor), Jonas McBride (Natalie), Andrew Dizon-Thomas (Dominique) and Colin Thomas; and her great grandchildren, Naya, Micaiah, Esther, Asa and Sanyu McBride. She is also survived by her daughters, ensuring their family.

Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church in Mexico, MO or the Audrain County Area Genealogy Society.
