He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Gibbons and Delta E. Gibbons; his son Mark Gibbons; his stepson Timothy J. Gieseker; and his siblings, Kenneth Gibbons, Dale Gibbons and Shirley Barker.

He is survived by: his children, Brad Gibbons (Debbie) of Mexico and Tonya Thoenen (Darrell) of Benton City; his stepchildren, Robyn Smith (John) of Mexico and Larry Gieseker of Martinsburg; his sister Betty Galen (Larry) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Jamie Pehle (Jason), Tyler Gibbons, Jessica White, Amanda Swift, Samantha Winters and Levi Gibbons; and his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Landreth, Brandi Schlemmer (Logan), Brock Lunceford (Hannah Rodgers), Tessa Ward, Melissa Garnett (Andy), Julie Gieseker, Chris Gieseker (Alexis), Jennifer Winters, Kaylee Omohundro (Dane), Shelby Anderson (Jason), Kimberlee Schlabach (Mark) and Clint Smith. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
