It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Weatherspoon (Mexico, Missouri), who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Estell Weatherspoon and Corine Weatherspoon; his wife Maxine Dodd; and his grandson Todd Estell Weatherspoon. He is survived by : his children, Terry Weatherspoon (Linda) of Wentzville, Mitzi Vannoy (Jim) of Nixa, Kevin Weatherspoon (Rhonda) of Hallsville and Lynda Ryker (Karl) of Norcross, GA..

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home (425 S Jefferson St, Mexico, MO 65265). A rosary was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Brendan Catholic Church (615 S Washington St, Mexico, MO 65265). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the St Brendan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, John's family requests donations be made to the St. Brendan Catholic Church.
