He was predeceased by : his parents, Ethel Elzea and Roy Gore; his wife Doris Walker; his stepdaughter Julie Kemplin; and his sister Phyllis (Russell McNamara).

He is survived by : his stepson Tim Walker of Scott City; his siblings, Paul (Elayne Gore) of Vandalia and Elsie Jo (Larry Phillips) of Sandwich, Ill; his children, Melaney L. Moss of St. Charles, MO, Lisa E. Gore of Columbia, MO and Eric W. (Tania Gore) of Springfield, MO; and his grandchildren, Ellen, Philip, Taylor, Rachel, Collin and Ava. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Spencer Creek Baptist Church or the Rush Hill Community Church in care of Waters Funeral Home.
