She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Howdeshell and Lucille Snyder Howdeshell; her sons, John and Stan; and her brothers, Jim, Bobby and Russell Howdeshell.
She is survived by: her husband Walt Duffen; her children, Tammi Carter of Fulton and Scott Duffen (Emmalee); her grandchildren, Beau, Skylar and Krista Rene of Sturgeon; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Kaden Barnes of Fulton, Alex and Logan Ray of Sturgeon; her siblings, Betty Bowers of Columbia, Patsy Stevenson of St. Ann, Illinois and Thom Howdeshell (Jen) of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and her siblings-in-law, Virginia Howdeshell of Vandalia, Tom and Betty Lampe of Harrisonville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (600 E Promenade St, Mexico, MO 65265). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mexico.
