He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vernon Hirt Sr. and Eileen Marie Arnold Hirt; his wife Donna Kaye "Katie" Davis; his brother Charles Vernon Hirt; his niece Leslie Marie Smith; and his nephew Bobby Gene Hirt.
He is survived by: his sons, Micheal Hirt and Matt Hirt of Miami; his grandchildren, Mikaela Hirt (Virgil Hostetter), Mariah Hirt (Bryce Bishop) and Micheal Hirt II; and his brothers, Mickey Lee Hirt of Phillipsburg, MO and Mark Allen Hirt of Miami. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
