She was predeceased by: her parents, Hayden Gerken and Goldie Gerken (Grosse); her stepfather George "Pat" Ham; and her brother Steve Ham. She is survived by: her husband Charles Freie; her children, Craig Freie (Niki) of Middletown, Mark Freie (Sara) of Middletown, Keith Freie (Trevor) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Carrie Nelson (Jared) of Middletown; her siblings, Alan Ham (Vera) of Bowling Green, Gary Ham of Montgomery City, Vanessa Gonzalez (Mike) of Montgomery City and Patricia Stoner (Tony) of Moberly; and her grandchildren, Logan Woods, Abbie, Kara, Charlie Freie, Gabe, Emma, Ethan Freie, Peter, Sylvia, Jonathan, Robert Pike, Luke, Reed, Brock and Levi Nelson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Wellsville (105 Trinity Church Rd, Wellsville, MO 63384). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (105 Trinity Church Rd, Wellsville, MO 63384).
