He was predeceased by: his father Billy Doyle Carter. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Carter (Shaw); his wife Rhonda Carter; his daughters, Brandy Barnes Galena (Perry) and Jessica Patterson (Charlie); his siblings, Dr. Gina Carter of Camdenton and Bryan Carter Pinehurst (Danna); his grandchildren, Tori Rehagen (Sam), Isabel Esquivel, Trace Barnes, London Hunt and Jayce Hunt; and his great grandchildren, Beau Rehagen, Azaylie Johnson and Chevelle Barnes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home (120 W 4th St, Milan, MO 63556). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shatto Cemetery.
