She was predeceased by: her parents, Toby Gentles and Gertie Gentles (Laxton); her husband Olan Smith; her daughter Rhonda Sanders; and her siblings, Alfred Gentles, George Gentles, Floa Brinkley, Mary Brinkley, Jewell Tucker and Mabel Lisenbee.
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Smith (Hiram McFadden) of Piedmont, Marilyn Wright (Tom) of Fairdealing and Cevis Smith of Poplar Bluff; her sister Evelyn Ward; and her grandchildren, Sherri Rainwater-Alexander, Diane Keener, Donnie Sanders, Jessica Rennick and Jason Sanders. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
