He was predeceased by: his parents, Israel Richard Cox, Sr. and Mildred'Mickey' Cox (Coleman); his grandmother Esta Cox (Jones); and his siblings, Frances Pemberton, Donna Ouderkirk, William Cox, John Burns and Charles Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Geannie Haggy; his children, Chelle Cox (Sondra), Israel Richard, III, Trey' and Travis Cox; his grandchildren, Taylor Silva (Zach) of San Diego, CA, Bailey Taylor of Topeka, KS, Hanna Taylor of Lincoln, NE and Manny Taylor of Sumter, SC; and his brother Dan Burns of Kodiak, AK. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and his many music family members.
