He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Twenter and Clara Twenter (Knedgen); his wife Ada Bernice Wesselman of Martin's Catholic Church; his son Jeffrey Alan (Mina Johnson); and his siblings, Bernice, Elmer, Maurice and Clyde Twenter.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Twenter (Pamela) of Independence, Brenda Snodgrass (Ken Schutte) and Kevin Twenter (Amber) of Centralia; and his brother Leo Twenter (Barbara). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Father Flanagan's Boys Town, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and St. Pius X Church.
