He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Edward and Marjori Eugene Thompson (Fox); and his sister Roberta "Birdie" Hulett. He is survived by: his children, Randy Dean Thompson, Jr. (Nicole) of Macon, MO, Lilias Marie Sikes (Josh) of Neosho, MO and James Edward Thompson (B. J.) of Moberly, MO; and his grandchildren, Nathan Snyder (Sarah), Andrew Snyder, Jacob Snyder (Hayley), Jordan Deskin, Mercedes Deskin, Payne Sikes, Chole Hembree (Garett), Corbin Smith, Brodey Thompson and Marley Thompson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home (301 N Rubey St, Macon, MO 63552). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials to the Macon Police Department.
