With sadness, we share the passing of Loretta Josephine Hurlbut of Monett, Missouri. Loretta, born on July 4, 1927, passed away on August 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Loretta for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her mother Josephine Dombroski (Staponski); and her daughter Cathy Hurlbut. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Hurlbut of Monett and Nancy Moore of Branson; and her sister Margaret Washeck of Verona. She is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-grandchild on the way and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home (216 2nd St, Monett, MO 65708). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church (405 7th St, Monett, MO 65708).
Memorial donations for Loretta may be made to church Masses or the St. Lawrence Catholic School.
