She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Schoon and Gertie Schoon (DeWall); her husband Lester E. Hohensee; and her siblings, Doris Ahlrichs, Leroy Schoon and Margaret Rickleffs.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Meyer (Randy) of Litchfield Park, AZ, Mark Hohensee of Monett, David Hohensee (Cindy) of Marionville, MO, Ruth Skaggs Verona (Clint) and James Hohensee (Sherri) of Abilene, KS; and her sister-in-law Lucille Boelman of Ankeny, IA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; as well as a host of extended family.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church Home Fund.
