He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hamilton Harper and Verna T. Harper (Conley); his wife Opal; and his children, Richard Harper and Melody Powers.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Harper of Monett, Randy "John" Harper of Cassville, MO and Tom Cannon of Marionville, MO; and his siblings, Robert, Ken Harper and Jana Devon Sisco (Lee) of Atlantic, IA. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
