It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Marie Mayes (Monroe City, Missouri), born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on August 11, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Benton Lee; her son Jamie Mayes; and her sisters, Cynthia Rae Scherder and Carol Lee King. She is survived by : her mother Elizabeth Ann Pruitt King; her husband Samuel Parker Mayes (Sam); her children, Robbie Johnson (Amber Keethler) of Bowling Green, Missouri, Jeff Johnson (Amanda) of Bowling Green, Missouri, Alicia Black (Hank) of Monroe City, Heather Wisdom (Brian) of Monroe City and Erin Kunkendell (Stephen) of Louisiana, Missouri; and her siblings, Benton Leeking, II (Diane) of Quincy, Christine Boehlein (Richard) of Lousiana and Courtney Bartz (Robert) of Maywood, Missouri. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
