He was predeceased by: his parents, Murty Alfred Whitley, Jr. and Catherine "Kate" Irene Whitley (Rouse); and his brother Milton Eugene Whitley. He is survived by: his daughter Leisa Smith (Darin) of Hannibal, Missouri; and his nephew Kelly Whitley (Karen M.) of Atlanta, Missouri.
