With sadness, we share the passing of Clemmie Dale James of Monroe City, Missouri. Clemmie, born on January 9, 1944, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy E. James and Opal James (Couch); his son Randy James; his nephew Shane James; his brothers, Percy James, Jr. and Gary James; his sister-in-law Judy Hagan; and his parents-in-law, Bill and Tillie Osbourne.
He is survived by: his wife Linda James; his son Andy James (Nicole) of Vandalia, MO; his grandsons, Dalton James and Lucas James; his daughter-in-law Jerri James of Monroe City, MO; his stepgrandchildren, Lindsay Minor of Monroe City, MO and Chandler Shoemyer of Monroe City, MO; his sister Beverly Forney (Gene) of Monroe City, MO; and his sister-in-law Linda James of Palmyra, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garner Funeral Home & Chapel (315 N Vine St, Monroe City, MO 63456). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Monroe City First Baptist Church.
