JoAnne B. Spalding Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnne B. Spalding of Monroe City, Missouri, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Joseph Bruseke and Mary Ellen Barnes Bruseke; her husband Jim; her aunts, Margaret Barnes and Agnes McLaughlin; her sister Mary Jeanne Wochner of Mountain Home, AR; and her siblings-in-law, John F. Spalding, Dr. Joseph Spalding, Joe Wochner and Mary Spalding.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Leake of Monroe City, MO, Jane Crowe (Keith) of Hunnewell, MO, Joni Karr (Steve) of Talkeetna, AK and James E Spalding Jr. (Diana) of Olathe, KS.; and her grandchildren, Aaron Crowe (Tonya) of Kansas City, KS, Emily King (Steven Rodgers) of New London, MO, Adam Crowe (Jamie) of Fremont, NE, Valerie Caldwell (Chris) of Center, MO, Adair Crowe (Dawn Hagan) of Monroe City, Lauren Spataro (David) of Carlsbad, Karen Hannaford (Scott) of Olathe, KS, Nik Schroff (Lisa) of Kirksville, MO, Matt Karr (Ashley Jahn) of Ridgefield, Charlie Karr of Talkeetna, AK. and Emily Leake of Monroe City, MO.. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, 5 Step-great-grandchildren, 2 Step Great-Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Rosary Church or the Monroe City Manor Care Center Auxiliary.
