With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Joe Watson of Monroe City, Missouri, who passed away on May 26, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Watson and Betty June Stanton Watson; his aunt Mary Faye Watson; and his grandparents, Laura Etta Watson and Thomas Mode Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Mae Trautloff (Robert) of St. Joseph, MO, Laurie Jo Rogers of Richmond, MO and Meryl Watson of Nuremberg; his stepson Joe Hultz of Kansas City, MO; his sister Sandra Chaney of Lawson, MO; his grandchildren, Brandi Silkwood, Carrah Paterson, Clint Jones, Craig Watson and Jake Watson; and his great grandchildren, Lacey Silkwood, Ryan Silkwood, Chevi Paterson, Cody Paterson, Kori and Tristan Trautloff. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe City Manor Care Center, Holy Rosary Catholic Church or St. Stephens Catholic Church.
