He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Francis Lamar and Mary Louise Hays (Hamilton); his children, Kimberly of Anchorage, AK, Kelly Fray (Scott) of Boonville, MO, Todd (Rosanne), Scott (Riss) of Monroe City and Shawn of Anchorage, AK.; and his grandchildren, Jessica Alford, Chris Alford, Linsey Thompson (Mark), Acacia Hagan (Jared), Nick Fray, Anna Robinson (Sam), Dahrea Karr (Kody), Juliana Hays (Cole Gilkey), Addi Hays, Donnie Hays, Laine Hays, Denten Hays, David Hays and Thomas. He was also cherished by his grandad, dad and brothers.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen Cemetery, Holy Rosary School and Monroe City.
