She was predeceased by : her parents, William Shaver and Lillian Turnbough Shaver; her husband William Albert Shoemate; her sisters, Eva Lee Shinn, Maude Moss and Betty Hays; her daughter Mary Jane Shoemate; and her grandson-in-law Bruce Stuart.

She is survived by : her children, Jim Shoemate (Deann) of Monroe City and Alberta Lochridge (Larry) of Mexico; and her grandchildren, Angie Stuart of Rush Hill, Patricia Adair (Travis) of Columbia, Todd Shoemate (Jill) of Monroe City and Deidra McKay (Sean) of Hannibal. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, and eight step great great grandchildren.
