He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Butler and Edith Butler; his former wife Linda Lea Vaughn; and his siblings, Larry Lee Butler, Gladys Calhoun, Dorothy Sue Butler, Pauline Naughton and Debbie Tally (Charlene Butler).
He is survived by: his wife Penny Butler; his children, Paul Joseph Butler (Michelle) of Kentucky, Laura Garrett (Jack) of New Florence, Deealona Harjo of Fulton, Tonia Michelle Butler of Montgomery City and Paula Briley (Ronnie) of Wentzville; his grandchildren, Konner, Justin, Drew, Masie, Katina, Kaylea, Thomas, Mason, Shane, Alicia, Caitlen and Cassandra; his great grandchildren, Sophie, John, Roush, Kiya, Amelia and Daisy; and his siblings, Patricia Ann Calhoun of Arkansas, Kenny Butler (Sandy) of Warrenton, Beverly Jo Hunter (James) of Rocky Mount and Linda Kay Scott of Macon. He is also survived by other relatives and many close family friends.
Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
