With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Belle Carter of Mound City, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Emory and Edna Flura Bullock (Alkire); her brother Joe Bruce Bullock; and her daughter Jeanie Ohlensehlen (Carter). She is survived by: her sister Alice (Bullock); her husband Howard Leon Carter; her daughter Carol Jean; her grandsons, Jeramie Ohlensehlen of Lawrence, KS and Jacob (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Henry and Luther Ohlensehlen of Springfield, MO; her grandson Josh (LeAnn); her great grandchildren, Bryon, Anna and Emma Ohlensehlen of Fairfax, MO; her grandsons, Jesse Ohlensehlen of Loomis, NE and Dennis Ohlensehlen (Debbie) of Mound City; and her nephews, Tom Bullock (Cathy) of Big Lake, MO, Bob Bullock (Lisa) of Noblesville, IN and Jeff Bullock (Luann) of Maysville, MO.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (312 E 7th St, Mound City, MO 64470). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mound City United Methodist Church or to the Mound City Nutrition Site.
