She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Ginden and Ellen Ginden; her brother Jerome Ginden; her husband Michael Katz; and her grandmother Jewish (Trekkie).
She is survived by: her sons, Joshua Scott (Seth Jeremy) and Seth Katz (Rachel); and her grandchildren, Andrew, Ilanna, Theodore and Ezra.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mount Moriah Cemetery South (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Home of Seth Katz.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Barbara's memory to Congregation Beth Shalom.
