She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Foster and Mary Foster; her brothers, William and Robert Foster; and her husband Randall Smithmier.

She is survived by: her daughters, Gretchen (Joe Mika), Anne (Patrick Manning) and Amy Judd (Steve); her grandchildren, Lily, Erin Manning and Nathan Judd; her niece Lauren Hensel (Justin); and her nephew Vincent Foster of Baton Rouge, Louisiana..

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St Thomas More Catholic Church (11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
