With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Kendrick of Mount Moriah, Missouri, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 22, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Marie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Marie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Lisa Marie Kendrick; and her brothers, Ralph Kendrick and Robert Kendrick. She is survived by: her mother Helen Kendrick; her daughter Charisse Barrett; her grandchildren, Taylor Garrett and Sidney Parks; her great grandchild Alayah Garrett; her sister Christine Valdez (Joey); her nephew Craig; and her great-nephew Javon Eskridge. She is also survived by loving relatives and special friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mount Moriah Cemetery South (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
