We announce the death of Marvin Johnson of Mount Moriah, Missouri, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 86. Marvin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Johnson and LaVerne Johnson; and his sister Carol Lynn Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Susan Eggers; his children, Ellen Burkhead (David), Joan Ryan and Erik Johnson; his grandchildren, Mary of Overland Park, Kansas., Matthew Burkhead of Overland Park, Kansas., Jane of Overland Park, Kansas., Katherine of Overland Park, Kansas. and Jack Ryan of Overland Park, Kansas.; his siblings, Marlene Larsen of Yankton and Burdette Johnson (Barbara) of Sioux Falls; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Wylde of St. Paul, Minnesota and Dick McClean of Moline, Illinois. He is also survived by his 11 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
