He was predeceased by: his parents, James Woods and Gladys Woods; his sister Ella Mae Mullinix; and his brother-in-law Lee Mullinix. He is survived by: his wife Kim Miller; his daughters, Rachel Payne (Tim) and Jamie Woods; and his siblings, William A. Woods (Pam), Larry Woods (Karen), James Lee Woods (Barbara), Penny Campbell (Bill) and Neelda Barnes (Jim). He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
