With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Vera Gonzales of Mount Moriah, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Vera left this world on December 8, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. Though Vera may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Vera touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Filer and Anise Filer; and her husband Phillip Gonzales. She is survived by: her children, Theresa Cornejo, Racheal Anderson, Tina Gonzales, Phillip Gonzales, Jr. and Jessie Gonzales. She is also survived by several grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Mount Moriah Cemetery South (10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
