Brent Moray McCune Obituary
We announce the death of Brent Moray McCune of Mount Vernon, Missouri, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 79. Brent will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Brent will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Brent will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Brent’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Brent Hubert and Kathleen McCune (Chavose); and his sister Kay (Ronnie Lincoln). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Watson; his siblings, Barbara McCune of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Ken McCune (Shyre) of Holts Summit, Missouri; and his stepchildren, Janell Cole (Greg) of Lake Elsinore, Robert Weitlauf of Wildomar and Tracy Brown (Doug) of Aurora, Colorado. He is also survived by four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home (510 E Cherry St, Mt Vernon, MO 65712).
