She was predeceased by: her parents, Olin Brekken and Mildred Brekken (Davis); her former husband Gene Taber; and her brothers, Charles and Wayne Brekken.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Cruts; her children, Dawn Derr (Marc) and Ward Taber (Suzette) of Amery, Wisconsin; her stepchildren, Cheryl Cruts of Acres Green, David Cruts (Andria) of Scotts Valley, Duane Cruts (Lori) of Cameron Park, Doug Cruts (Valerie) of Bastrop and Jeremy Cruts; her brother Clyde Brekken (Connie) of New Auburn, Wisconsin; her siblings-in-law, Mary Brekken of New Auburn Wisconsin, Shirley Glaser and Bruce Taber; and her friends, Ann and Duane Nelson. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Lawrence County Manor, in care of the funeral home.
