He is survived by: his wife Doris Pruitt; his daughter Lisa Beth Earnest of Ft. Worth, Texas; his granddaughter Suzannah Merritt of Austin, Texas; and his stepson John West (Melissa) of Lamar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
