Ruth Margarete Nelson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Margarete Nelson of Mount Vernon, Missouri, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Rubin and Elizabeth Rubin (Steffens); her husband Verner G. Nelson; and her daughter-in-law Teresa Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Clarence Nelson of Pierce City, Richard Nelson (Vickie) of Springfield, Cheryl Stotts (David) of Monett, John Nelson (Mary Beth) of Mt. Vernon and Sandra Baker (Tom) of Wildwood, Missouri; and her sister-in-law Vi Schulze of Thousand Oaks, California. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Trinity Lutheran Radio Broadcast or LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League), in care of the funeral home.
