He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Cox and Thelma Cox; his siblings, Kenneth Cox, Ervin Cox, Larry Joe Cox, Grant Cox, Louise Simon and Wanda Chritton; and his grandson Zeb Cox.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Cox; his sisters, Janice Gregory of Houston and Glenda Verlander (Tom) of Republic, Missouri; and his children, Terry Cox (Pam) of Ft. Worth Texas, David Cox (Jeannie) of West Plains, Sharon Chronister (Greg) of Kimberling City and Stan Cox (Jenny) of Rogersville, Missouri. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
