She was predeceased by : her parents, Minnie Ragsdale and Dick Ragsdale. She is survived by : her husband Garland Fitzhugh Sr.; her sisters, Dixie Baty of Mount Vernon and Maxine Baty of Tempe; her children, Garland Fitzhugh Jr. (Judy Fitzhugh) and Karen Sue Motley "Susie"; and her grandchildren, Garland Fitzhugh III, Libbessa Maxwell, Siscillea Motley and Danielle Payne (Jamie). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
