He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Ellis and Bess Ellis (Hutsell); his wife Dixie Sullivan; his brothers, Ross Ellis (Marilyn) and Roy Ellis (Jean); and his grandson-in-law Lance Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Jay Ellis, Jimmie Ellis (Karen) and Barbara Morgan; his grandchildren, David Ellis, Jennifer Ellis, Evan Morgan (Nao), Dana Ellis, Kristi Johnson and Amber Williams; his great grandchildren, Daniel Haase, Blake Williams, Mikayla Williams, Maila Morgan, Liana Morgan, Liam Neugebauer, Ava Adamson and Bryce Johnson; and his great great grandchild Kaian Williams. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home - Mountain Grove (315 N Main St, Mountain Grove, MO 65711). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Friendship Cemetery (5488 MO-95, Mountain Grove, MO 65711).
