He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Akkerhuis of Springfield, Matthew Akkerhuis (Janet) of Mountain Grove and John Akkerhuis (Anzilee) of Mountain Grove, Missouri. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
