He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Curtis Hilt and Vinita Olevia Hilt (Sluder); his grandparents, Frank Hilt, Fred and Mollie Sluder; his siblings, Janice Ault (Ted) and Jerald Hilt (Sharon); his niece Rhonda McKeehan (Ault); his parents-in-law, Claude and Sybil Farr (Day); his siblings-in-law, Clayton Farr (Thelma) and Theresa (Farr); and his son Jonathan Hardin.
He is survived by: his wife Lana Hilt (Farr); his children, Vince Hilt, Leslie Akers (Kelly) of Mountain Grove and Lori Hilt of Mountain Grove; his grandchildren, Brandon Hilt of Glenwood, Seth Akers (Allison) of Fort Meyers, Hunter Saba of Mountain Grove, Erin Rodgers (Kaleb) of Vanzant and Tanis Hilt of Ozark, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Everett Rodgers and Isla Grace Akers; his siblings, Van Hilt (Jo) of Amory, Mississippi and Donna Bruffett (Gary) of Norwood, Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Becky Street (Verdin) of Fordland, June Jones (Gayland) of Macomb, Missouri, Austin Farr (Gwen) of Wilmington and Winston Farr (Debbie) of Hartville, Missouri.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home - Mountain Grove (315 N Main St, Mountain Grove, MO 65711). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at the Hillcrest Cemetery North Main.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Dawson Assembly of God Building Fund.
