He was predeceased by : his parents, Burley Forbes and Gladys Forbes; his in-laws, Dale and Sylvia Schrader; his son Garry; his grandsons, Tony and Ross Forbes; his great grandchild MaRanda Forbes; his great great grandchild Wyatt Forbes; his siblings, Francis "Tooter" Forbes, Zetta Mae Trautman, Mary Worrell, Jean Brewer, JoAnn Webb, Dixie Hutchinson, John Forbes, Clyde Forbes and Don; and his sister-in-law Margaret Schrader.

He is survived by : his friend Kenny Schrader; his sister Pauline; his family, Garry, Paula, Loreen, Ann, Craig and Mark; his wife Pauline Schrader; his children, Paula Sterling, Loreen Forbes-Riddle (Hank), Ann Engel (Rich), Craig Forbes (Linda) and Mark Forbes (Mary); his brother Bob; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Forbes, Kenny Schrader (Betty) and Maxine Lowery. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
