He is survived by: his children, Shayna Farris (Austin), Savannah Farris (Mark), Christopher Farris (Jessica), Carlos Stirewalt (Sam) and Axel Farris of Joplin, MO.; and his siblings, Billy Farris (Kristi), Michael Carter (Lawanda), Charles Farris (Denise), Bobby Carter, Kimberly Coats (Derik), Tammy Hudson (Jeremy), Deborah McCarter (Scott), Erma Lewis (Donald) and Annette Carter. He is also survived by nieces, nephew family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the local chapter of Narcotics Anonymous.
