John Edward Tranbarger Obituary

We announce the death of John Edward Tranbarger (Mountain View, Missouri), who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 88. John Edward will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Remington (Marie Tranbarger) and Pansy Ora Tranbarger (Partney); his significant other LaDonna Tranbarger; his son Gary Tranbarger; his grandson Matthew Farris; and his brothers, Lilburn Tranbarger and Orval Tranbarger.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Abbey (Dave) and Deb Hill (Bob); his daughter-in-law Debbie Tranbarger; his sister Dixie Samuelson; and his grandchildren, Cristi, Casey, Aaron, Courtney, Chelsi, Christie, Carrie and Brandon. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was very proud to be an avid blood donor, donating over 40 gallons of blood throughout his lifetime.
