He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Gore; his son Darren Elder; and his siblings, Peggy Ross, Vonna Belle Daniels, Betty Elders, Frankie Elder and Jimmy Elder.
He is survived by: his sons, William "Bill" Elder (Niki) of Naylor, Jackie Elder II (Michelle) of Naylor and Aaron Elder of Naylor; and his brother Bill Elder of Dallas, Texas.. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
