He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Florence and Evelyn Carson Florence; and his sisters, Annie Gertrude Florence and Stella Agwu. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his daughters, Stacey Lewis (Alonzo), Rebecca Coleman Brandi (Samuel) and Angie Edwards (Kerry); his stepchildren, Rayetta Leimkuehler (Jerry), Mitchell Rose (Samantha) and Justin Rose; and his sisters, Anna Reynolds, Belle Florence, Rosie Okoye and Debby Florence. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marshall Family Worship Center (225 Drake Rd, Marshall, MO 65340). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Military Rites Marshall Family Worship Center (225 Drake Rd, Marshall, MO 65340).
